CHICAGO (December 4, 2002) – LauraJane Hyde, Executive Director, today announced that Jennifer Mower has been appointed Development Manager for Gilda’s Club Chicago, the non-profit community organization that provides emotional and social support to people living with cancer. Ms. Mower will be responsible for the Club’s fund-raising program.
Ms Mower, 34, was previously Director of Special Events and Auxiliary Boards for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
The mission of Gilda’s Club Chicago is to provide a meeting place where people living with cancer, and their families and friends, can join together to build social, emotional and informational support as a supplement to medical care. Free of charge, Gilda’s Club offers support and networking groups, lectures, workshops, and social events in a homelike setting at 537 North Wells St.
